Canvassing & More!

I was just another blank canvass, you had come across...

painted the facets of my bruised skin, with all shades of, 

purple, pink and a soft tint of red....

but just as your love turned blue,

heart cold,

and face numb,

should've known,

should've sensed....

adultery and more!

but love! i was busy counting and joining the dots of our memories...

the pleasing hours of joy in silence,

the conversations in between our eyes

and, that electric spark without touch!

Alas! There you stood with the dagger in one hand,

and someone else's hand in other!

stepped in,

shattered the glass dreams and stabbed my back acutely!

but feebly.

and there i stand,

accusing myself guilty of everything,

i hadn't done!

every crime i didn't commit!!

but somewhere in the parallel universe,

you sweep me off my feet,

say my name three times,

wrapped in between the sheets,

loving and caressing!

and there you stain me with the darkest shade of red!
